New Coke, Gap Style?

After 20 years, Gap changed their logo and the feedback was not what they expected. After being blasted on the web for days, they decided to drop it.

  1. Wimps. Everyone hates change for a few days. I suppose it's a lesson on the importance of proactively managing and influencing your brand on social media.

  2. Yes, but that wasn't the case here. The new logo they rolled out was pretty horrible. I've never been a of their current artwork, but it's better than the alternative.

  3. What ruined it for me was the blue block in the corner. Why?! Lose the blue box in the middle of the P. It feels like everybody's trying to emulate the clean look of Apple's advertising. I liked the old logo.
